2. Register for our monthly meetings which alternate between 1pm ET and 7pm ET here and here.

3. Then, take this two-minute survey so that we can get your input on future initiatives. 

Question: I would love to support PoC in Dental, but I myself am not a person of color. Is it still ok for me to join?

Answer: Absolutely! PoC in Dental is meant to connect, not divide. Everyone who supports our mission is welcome and encouraged to join.

Question: I’m not a dental professional and I may not even work in a dental office. How can I support the cause?

Answer: You can still be a member and participate presuming you are an ally of the dental community and believe in the mission set forth. We are a community that strives to provide equity and inclusion to the diversity of individuals across the dental community including those that support dental organizations and professionals. 

Question: What are the types of membership and what are the benefits?

Answer: Free membership and full membership, with benefits outlined below:

• Free membership benefits include:
  • Exclusive invites to monthly meetings, virtual and in-person

  • Access to online communities, LinkedIn group, and Slack

  • Discounted tickets to industry conferences

• Benefits of full membership include:

  • Invite to private Facebook group

  • Swag, such as shirts

  • Free tickets to industry conferences

  • Access to member directory with contact info

  • And more!

Full membership is just a $298/year annual due, valued at $987.79 and pays for itself. We encourage you to ask your company to cover this expense as part of your professional development.

Question: How can I help?

Answer: There are many ways to help depending on your availability. We encourage members to join a committee to get the most out of PoC in Dental. Our committees are listed below. Please email hello@pocindental.org to let us know which committee you would like to join. 

• Programming

  • Curate content for PoC members, plan virtual and in-person events as well as surveys

  • Organizes in person and virtual programs and events, surveys

• Outreach

  • Increase awareness of PoC in Dental and engage members online and in-person

  • Facilitate social media, mailing list, inbox, website, collateral, etc.

• Finance

  • Fundraise for PoC in Dental, brainstorm ideas (e.g., membership dues)

  • Engage corporations for general sponsorships, raffles, and auction
